Lady in apron was used on the Lenci advertisements in 1923. This was a very popular Lenci costume and was made in many colors and sizes. Lenci used felt and organdy for their costumes. She was missing her hat when I got her- so I made one as close to the pictures of the original outfit as I could get. Shoes are replacements. She also has the Gish face.23" tall- not including her hat.
Her gentleman companion is often called Beau Brummel. He is from a drawing by Marcello Dudovich. Lenci made many dolls based on his drawings! He is orininal ,dressed in a brown and beige waistcoat, top hat, gloves, spats and carries a walking stick- copied from the original, with thanks to another Lenci collector friend!. Male boudoir dolls are not often found- so I was happy to add him to my collection! I think these dolls look great together!
